Born in Kyoto in 1970. After gaining experience in a wide range of fields, including architecture, art, food, and traditional performing arts, he opened the restaurant "Ricordi" in Gion, Kyoto in 1995. In pursuit of the fusion of dining space and design, he also began making his own tableware.
In 2001, he launched his own brand, "Sfera," and as creative director, he has developed products that combine tradition and modernity both domestically and internationally. In particular, he has consistently exhibited at the world's largest international furniture fair, "Milano Salone," from its early days, presenting interior products and accessories rooted in Japanese aesthetics. His unique worldview has been highly praised, leading to the expansion of his international sales channels.
In 2003, the company opened the Sfera Building in Gion, a space equipped with a shop, gallery, cafe, and bar, where it continues to communicate the brand's worldview. Since then, the company has continued to develop its own collections, including OBJECTS and DOnG. Currently, the company continues to engage in multifaceted activities beyond the brand, including spatial and product design and producing the development of overseas sales channels.
