White porcelain beveled rice bowl

This bluish white porcelain rice bowl is slightly thick, giving a soft impression to the elegant texture of the material. It is handcrafted in the San'in region. This porcelain bowl is fired in a climbing kiln using local clay, which is quite rare in the San'in region, where pottery is the norm. Each bowl is carefully turned on a potter's wheel, and the decorative "carvings" on the sides are also made by hand.
