Both the potter's wheel-formed porcelain and the woven bamboo rim are individually handcrafted by artisans in Kyoto.
These craft products, created with a new concept of combining materials formed using traditional techniques, are designed for modern lifestyles. While the porcelain base appears delicate in appearance, it is fired hard and is resistant to water stains and dirt. They can be used as flower vases by pouring water directly into them. Due to their shallow shape, this model is also recommended for use as fruit bowls.
