ORIGO Journal 1st issue 'MAKIBURI' (incl. shipping cost)
The first issue of ORIGO Journal, created by ORIGO, an Italian restaurant in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. MAKIBURI, a specialty of the Noto Peninsula, is introduced with beautiful images and text.
A part of the sales will be donated by ORIGO to the victims of the Noto earthquake that occurred on 1st January 2024. Sfera supports this donation activity as a distributor of this journal.
＜Information from ORIGO Journal website＞
This is an experimental, empirical print publication, exploring the ‘food culture’ through artisans, history and communities.
Please enjoy our first issue, ‘Makiburi’ where people with different backgrounds, age, culture and nationality, combined their skills together to create an artisanal product. It is limited in copies, and we like to think it is unique in its kind.
We hope you enjoy it.
The earthquake of the 1st of January 2024 has dramatically affected the landscape and the future of the people inhabiting this aerea. The Makiburi is a unique product from the Ishikawa region, more precisely from the Noto Peninsula and its history goes back to the Edo period.
We wish to donate part of the profit from the sales of the “Makiburi issue” to the victims of the Noto earthquake.
Even though it is a little contribution, we believe every little can help to the rebirth of the Noto peninsula.
