Handmade Uchiwa 'Komaru'

Sfera's Uchiwa, a flat, non-folding Japanese fan has a timelass appeal which simply is essential and functionally beautiful. It is hand made by "Aiba", a well-known Kyoto style Uchiwa maker with 300 years of history.
Uchiwa was originally used as a ceremonial tool to ward off evil spirits, therefore in Edo-Period, it was a popular summer gift, hoping to prevent illness from the crucial weather of Japan.
Our Uchiwa is packed with traditional incense, sending subtly scented breeze to ease off the heat and creating relaxing time.
